How Rain Affects Hunger

It is not anything new that the city where I live has been all about rain and more rain since a couple of weeks back. The rain season does not only stick with this city but also with other cities around the island of Java. We become used to floods on the main streets and an increase of water level in the sewer that just covers the neighbourhood roads with flowing riverlike water. Today I went out to a store for a brief meeting and got stuck in the heavy rain on my way home. Not having a raincoat with me was surely only making the wet moment even more unforgettable. It was fun and safe enough because I didn't forget to keep my wallet and phone in the storage room in the bike -where a raincoat should have been at the first place.

When I arrived back at home -all wet, the electricity was out. For at least four hours. There wasn't anything creepy about the dark and silence from not having anything electrical on, but it was pretty boring I admit. We only had two big candles in the house while the rest of the light source was from our phones. Then again, dilemma was that we couldn't use up all the battery there was left. I even had to get in to the car to charge my dying phone.

Now I feel hungry. I think it's the effect from the darkness we had a couple hours ago. Do you feel less hungry or demotivated to have dinner when you can't see the food because it's too dark? I think that's what happened to me. I'm gonna have a late dinner now so I can sleep without having my stomach protesting.
