Day 23 - #MaretMenulis

Let's talk about yesterday.

I woke up with a slight one sided headache. I told myself I could not cancel another class because last-week's class was already canceled once. I did not feel as horrible as the morning before so this time I could get myself together to teach my 51 students that morning.

The class started pretty unusually. I intentionally arrived 10 minutes late so I would get everything I needed. Here is the drill: I go to this room where everything including the presence list, the board markers and the LCD remote control are given to me. I have to do that before I go to my classroom. That morning my 10 minute late arrival was to avoid not seeing the lecturer from the earlier class by whom I should be given the LCD remote control. Simply said, there are several different stairs and corridors to take to the class. Chances were I would not see him on our ways, I predicted.

I arrived at the room and was told that the lecturer before me had not returned the remote control. So, I asked the people in the room to send one person to my class as soon as the lecturer returned the control; my class was on level 4 and there is no lift. I went in to my class and waited for almost half an hour waiting for anyone to give me the remote as agreed earlier. Nobody came.

So, I kindly asked one of the students to get the remote while I apologized. The class started smoothly afterwards.

I went home. Suddenly I felt unwell again. So I rested. Then a friend came to stop by my house to give something from an other friend of ours. We did not have a chance to meet up during her visit on the weekend due to my illness. I failed resting that noon.

I lived through my noon and afternoon. In the evening I tried to relax by watching The Walk under the blanket before I went to sleep.
