Day 26 - #MaretMenulis

Let's talk about what I did yesterday.

I was not feeling 100% fit so once again another day at home. I used my time off work throughout the day as my attempt in avoiding the stress. I thought why not do something I would get excited about. Except eating good food, of course. So, I dedicated my yesterday from noon to late evening to making a new look for my web blog.

I felt bored with the white look of my blog and I got an inspiration for the new look when I was in the mosque praying. As I looked down I noticed that my sejadah had a theme of army green color shade. And there was a detail around it in dark red. I figured "that's a combination for my blog!". I walked back home filled with excitement. I could not wait until I reached home and worked my hands on my laptop to start the designing process.

To be honest, designing a web by tweaking the CSS code set has been a passion of mine for many years since I made my very first web blog. Back in the old days I went all crazy using most of the features that were available. Back then I had used the marque texts that went either blinking while changing colors to moving from one side to another, hidden music player that none of my visitors had no way to turn it off, and many others I can't remember.

But yesterday I knew I could not go that far again. It would have taken me more than a day to remember and research all the formula for all those attractive motions.

Since I had known what theme I was going for yesterday I did it quite smoothly. I had had to create a new blog site just for having a place where tweaking trials and errors were allowed to happen before I set the finished set of code into my current web blog. And now you can see the new look.

The old look
The current look
So I managed to put some details that I really love like the shadows behind the boxes, the double borders around all boxes, and even when the blog post title is hovered there will be a shadow effect to appear.

It was not an easy work for me, though. But all the hard work was all worthy.

I will be back here to talk about today.
