This post is just for the record. Last night just around midnight after finishing a phone call my phone "died". My iPhone. At first the screen was not working. The touchscreen wasn't responsive. But it was on. My finger was not doing any good to the touchscreen-ability. So I set the phone to 'sleep mode', thinking it was just too warm after a long phone call. That was about the end. The screen wouldn't get back on. I thought it ran out of battery but then... a phone call came in. It rang. It kept ringing. But I saw nothing on the screen. The screen was dead.
I searched on the Internet about such an issue on the Apple community. It seems to be a common problem for many iPhone users. One of the suggested advices was to press and hold both the Home button and Sleep button together for good 10 seconds. Badly my iPhone's Sleep button had been broken since many months ago. So I couldn't do the suggested advice.
I knew I could have reset the phone from my iTunes but my laptop also happens to be broken. What a stress last night. I stayed awake until 2AM to try to get the phone back on.
I could not make it on but the phone was actually on. I could receive phone calls and text messages.
I went to get the phone repaired this morning and I should hear back from them tomorrow. Later on the day, this afternoon, I went to get a 5. A silver/white one. I didn't plan to do it but I thought it was about time after 5 years using the 4.
